Welcome
On Saturday March 6, 2010, students from California State University San Marcos’ School of Nursing will be participating in aid efforts at El Refugio in Tijuana, Mexico. El Refugio is a homeless shelter that houses on average 80 residents in substandard conditions. On this day, we will be providing medical treatment in the form of cleaning and dressing wounds, education about health promotion and safety, and basic hygienic care including shaving, bathing, and hair care.
In an effort to make this mission possible, we are requesting your assistance in the form of a donation so that adequate supplies may be procured. Any donations are welcome. If you are able to donate supplies, please refer to the list below for those supplies that are needed. Your donation is tax-deductible under section 501c (3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code.
For further information on offering your support or if you would like a receipt for your donation, please contact Stacey King or Sandra Orozco at the e-mails below. Thank you sincerely for your generosity and support of our project. With donations like yours, we are able to make this a successful mission and provide care to an underprivileged population in need.
